A fun, nurturing, and safe place for children and youth to make friends, learn about Krishna, and experience the spirit of community. Krishna Club Values - Friendship, Kindness, Courage, and Creativity. The Goals of Krishna Clubs - Building friendships through conversations & creative projects around Krishna. Price $40 per semester. 4 semesters per year. Winter Semester January 5th - March 15th Theme: Commitment Sub-theme: Courage Overview: With the beginning of a new year comes a host of new goals and resolutions. Setting achievable, measurable goals is the first step on this journey of change. Learning to honor your commitments takes honesty and courage, and this will encourage the growth of self-confidence, the deepening of values, and the progress towards happiness. Tie-in with festivals/ events: • New Years • Nityananda Trayodasi • Gaura Purnima Personalities: • Dhruva Maharaj • Sanatana Goswami • Haridas Thakur Sangas Topics: • What are values? Why are they important to have? What are some of your values? • What is commitment? What does it mean to be committed to our values? • What are the advantages of new beginnings? • Let’s set one measurable goal for this semester: SMART Goals Presentations: • The Prince and the Pole Star Drama • Share what a SMART Goal is, maybe have the community brainstorm their own • Art: create backgrounds/ sets for the drama or sculpture/dioramas, Quote Board/Canvas Photo/Video Release: By signing up I give permission for my child’s photo, which may be taken during classes, for promotional purposes, i.e. temple website, monthly newsletter, brochures, etc. By checking here, I agree to the photo release, and terms as listed above. **signing up will serve as your parental/guardian signature consent
